New here? The 🎓 Tutorial on the main menu walks through every mechanic hands-on, at your own pace — nothing there can end the game.
Mom just left to go shopping — and she left you in charge of the little one! You're working remote today too, so it's baby duty and your day job at once. Keep the baby happy until she gets back, and don't let the cry-o-meter fill up.
Scoop the baby up with Space to carry and calm them, or drop whatever you're holding with Q. 💪 Your arms tire out the longer you hold a baby (upgrade Strong Arms to hold longer). Need your hands free? Pen a baby in the 🔒 playpen for a while — they'll climb out on their own eventually, so don't wander off for too long.
Babies get messy — a 🧼 dirty meter on their HUD cluster climbs from throw-up, an overdue diaper, or just ordinary time spent crawling around. Too dirty and it starts adding to the 😭 cry-o-meter. Fix it at the 🛁 bath (whichever the bathroom generated): pick the baby up, walk over, and press E. You'll be braced in place for a few seconds — the baby's perfectly safe, but you can't move — then carry them straight to the 🧺 towel rack to dry off. Skipping the towel leaves them wet, which makes the cry-o-meter a little quicker to fill until you finish the job.
Every run moves through four phases, shown next to the timer: 🌅 Morning (needs drain fast, but work stays quiet), 🍽️ Lunch (food drains double and the 🔥 oven is genuinely dangerous), 🕑 Afternoon (a bit of a breather — but every work ping you dodged earlier shows up now), and 🌆 Evening, always the last 60 seconds, when everything ramps up at once as Mom gets close. A banner announces each transition.
Every hazard gives you a warning first. A baby about to swallow something small coughs (😮) before it happens — clear their airway in time. A baby heading for the 🔥 oven triggers a banner before it gets there. Your back gives an amber twinge-warning before it seizes up, and a bathroom urge builds before it's truly urgent. A baby about to throw up goes visibly queasy (🤢) first. Messes still need the 🧹 mop to clean up.
You can act on all of this ahead of time: tidy toys near the baby to push back the choking risk, baby-proof the oven at the oven itself to remove that hazard for the whole run, stretch at the bed to reset your back-pain clock, and use the 🚽 toilet preemptively even without an active urge. Upgrade 💊 Pain Medication to shorten episodes and make stretching cheaper.
The computer in the office pings with work messages now and then — reply within the time shown or it costs you. Miss too many and you're fired — game over.
Every so often a delivery gets left at the 🚪 front door — walk over and press E to bring it in before it's stolen. Miss enough of them and Mom comes home unimpressed, even if you win.
Changing diapers banks 💩 poo — spend it at the 🛠️ workbench to upgrade everything above (faster needs, more poo per change, longer arm stamina, shorter back pain, and more). Each upgrade has a level cap that starts low and rises with your 👤 Dad Level below.
Every run banks ⭐ XP toward a persistent Dad Level — for diaper changes, cuddles, baths given, and hazards handled, plus a chunk just for how long you survived. It's saved on this device and never resets, and a loss still earns something. Click your level in the bar at the top of the main menu to see lifetime stats and unlock progress. Leveling up raises solo runs' upgrade cap and starting 💩, and unlocks more 🎨 outfit colors — multiplayer rounds always use the base cap and no starting bonus, so nobody's Dad Level gives them an edge in a shared room.
Turn it on before you start and you'll get a random checklist for the run — things like tidying the 🛏️ bed, grabbing lunch from the 🍱 oven, or cleaning the 🚽 toilet/🚿 sink. Walk up and press E to check each one off — purely a bonus challenge, no penalty for skipping any. A ⭐ marks whichever chore best fits the current day phase (lunch → oven, nap → toys, and so on).
Let any need run out and the cry-o-meter climbs — fill it and you'll panic-call Mommy, game over. Survive until she's back to win! (The 🚪 closet ends the game instantly if used — don't be that dad.)

Hi, I'm Gjorge Karakabakov — a frontend engineer by trade, and (much more importantly) dad to a very energetic one-year-old.
This game is inspired by real events: keeping a toddler fed, changed, entertained, and un-burned while also trying to get a workday done really does feel like this. One creative liberty — in real life Mom doesn't get a relaxing solo trip to the shops while Dad holds the fort. Nobody in this house has that kind of free time.

You did it — you kept the baby happy the whole time. Mom walks in with the groceries and finds a calm, content little one. Dad of the year.

The baby crawls around the house and plays with toys. Scoop it up with Space to carry it anywhere and calm it down, or drop whatever you're holding with Q — but 💪 your arms tire out the longer you hold the baby (upgrade Strong Arms at the workbench). Pen the baby in the 🔒 playpen for a little while to free your hands — it escapes on its own after a bit. Watch the 🔥 oven in the kitchen — an unsupervised baby that toddles over gets burned. The 💻 computer in the office pings with work messages; reply within the time shown or it costs you — miss too many and you're fired. Changing diapers collects 💩 poo — spend it at the 🛠️ workbench. A 📦 package occasionally shows up at the front door — grab it before it's stolen, or Mom won't be thrilled even if you win. Survive until Mom returns to win! (The 🚪 closet ends the game instantly if used.)
